Rare and Unique! Upgdare Kit - Memory 2 x 4 MB - DRAM (4,194,304 - word) and new firmware for Roland MC-50 to MC-50 mkIImkIII This would effectively upgrade the original Roland MC-500 to an Roland MC-50 mkIImkIII, with everything that this entails. This project is compatible only with Roland MC-50 series. The upgrade kit was tested with both the regular floppy drive and with a GOTEK USB drive. The test firmware was upgraded from version 1.02 to 1.03 to allow using memories of up to 4MB. The original memories (2x 256KB DRAM 262,144 - word) were replaced with 2x 4MB DRAM (4,194,304 - word). The EPROM replacement is a flash memory, its ultra-fast, lasts dozens of years. Please note that you need to fit sockets for the new memories. You also need a socket for the EPROM replacement. S
